Color Fusers Blog Hop | October 2021

This month was definitely a challenge for me - I have never used Cajun Craze and didn't have any cardstock/DSP or even an inkpad in this colour (good excuse to place another order lol). I kinda like it now, especially paired with Just Jade and Evening Evergreen, which are this month's colours.

I had originally designed another card but wasn't too happy with it and pulled everything out to start again and that's when I remembered my Watercolor Pencils and found one of the colours was Cajun Craze.

As these colours are fairly bold, I just wanted splashes with lots of white and used a stamp set that hasn't seen much ink - the Enjoy The Moment Stamp Set. I stamped the opposite corners of 5" x 3 ¾" Basic White with Just Jade and Early Evergreen, distressed the edges and added some black splatter - the panel then embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.

I stamped two seed pods on Basic White with Memento, fussy cut and coloured with my Cajun Craze watercolor pencil. The mat piece is 5 ¼" x 4" DSP from the Regals 6" x 6" DSP.

To finish off, I white heat embossed the sentiment on Cajun Craze and attached over a strip of Just Jade, added some Matte Black Dots and black Baker's Twine tied around the card fold.
