Color Fusers Blog Hop February 2021

 

Hello and welcome to another colour challenge.

This month we have three gorgeous, bright colours to work with, but I decided I wanted to soften the colours a little and keep the cards fairly clean and simple. 

 

To begin designing, I choose one of the designs from the "True Love" Designer Series Paper and trimmed it in half, and using my Scan 'n Cut (although they would also be easy to fussy cut), I cut out a few of the flowers.

 

Next I used a sponge dauber to gently colour the leaves with Bermuda Bay, the centre of the flowers with Magenta Madness and Gorgeous Grape around the edges. To give the flowers a little more definition, I used the Gorgeous Grape Watercolour Pencil to go over the lines.

 

I embossed two Whisper White Thick panels with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, attached the flowers and both were mounted on Basic Black mat pieces.

The rhinestone jewels were coloured with Bermuda Bay and Magenta Madness Stampin' Blends, and the sentiments (Forever Fern) were stamped  on Basic Black and white heat embossed.
