Cherry Blossom Hexagon Cards

Hello from a very chilly and partly snowy day in Australia - the weather decided we weren't over Winter yet and hit the east coast with a cold blast from the Antarctic brrrrr so, thankfully I finished my latest project before my hands became too cold to hold anything.

To create these  cards, I pulled out my Scan 'n Cut, which has long been living in it's bag, and decided to create some hexagon shaped cards in two of my favourite colours - Pool Party and Highland Heather.

Next I went through my stamps and dies to find sets I hadn't used in a while and think these pair nicely together - Cherry Blossom Dies and Birds & More Dies, and I've embossed some of the pieces with the Subtle 3D, Tasteful Textile 3D and Greenery Embossing folders.  I finished off each card with a little bow and some very retired sequins I had in my stash.

So, I did a little experimenting and found a way to create a PDF Tutorial to include a link to both of the .fcm cutting files for the shaped hexagon cards and mat pieces, along with step-by-step die-cutting and assembly instructions for each card.

Note: these files are compatible for a Scan 'n Cut or a Cricut electronic cutting machine. There are no directions on how to trim the hexagons.

If you would like to purchase the PDF tutorial, the cost is AUD$10.00. Please click on the Buy Now button and you will be directed to my Google Drive after payment is accepted.

Classic White Christmas Card Kit and Tutorial

Hello again

Today I have a set of cards that all started when I wanted to use my fancy new Metallic Mesh Ribbon (and I instantly thought of Christmas cards). This is often my process when creating - select one item that I want to use, or is being neglected, in my stash and away I go!!!

The great thing about these cards is that you can use any coloured cardstock - I made one of each set using Blushing Bride and Balmy Blue.

If you would like the PDF tutorial with all the measurements (Imperial) and the step-by-step trimming and die-cutting guide for each card, the cost is AUD$10.00. Click on the Buy Now button and you will be directed to my Google Drive after payment is accepted.

Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop - September 2020

Hello my stampin' friends 🙋

How chuffed was I to receive a message asking if I would like to be a Guest Designer for the Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop.

This month's challenge is a card sketch and I immediately had a dozen ideas.

I began by going through my scraps box and found pretty much everything I needed to get started - little bits that I had made for previous projects but didn't end up using - pays to always keep these for future projects.

I started with a standard 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card base, with a Whisper White mat piece 5 1/4" x 4", embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and mounted.

The square panels are Forever Greenery DSP on Whisper White and Just Jade mat pieces.

The watercolour washed and Gold Foil leaves were die-cut from the Stitched Leaves Dies. I added a wood accent from the In Good Taste Elements which I pressed onto my "retired" Golden Glitz Delicata Metallic Ink Pad and set aside to dry completely before adding to the card front with a sentiment and gold thread double bow from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.

I finished off the card with some bling from the 2020-2022 In Colour Enamel Dots.
