Painter's Tape Techniques

Hello again

Today's FB Live tutorial was a demonstration on two different Painter's Tape Techniques. Here are the samples I made:

To complete these cards, I used "A Touch Of Ink" stamp set, one of the freebies you can earn in the 2021 Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.

I have uploaded the video to YouTube and you can watch it here:

Hope you enjoy this technique - it's one of my favourites.

Cheers

Welcoming Windows Bundle & Pretty Window Cards Tutorial

Hello Stampin' friends :)

I have been testing the soon-to-be-released Stampin' Up! Welcoming Window Bundle, one of the many new fabulous products in the 2021 January-June Mini Catalogue.

These cards were very time-consuming with lots of fiddly little bits, loads of stamping and die-cutting and trying to find products to make the curtains, eaves and little white picket fence.

I have used about 45 products including additional stamp sets, dies, embossing folders, different coloured cardstock and inkpads.

I started with a farmhouse then got creative and made the Hampton house, country cottage with a bay window and finally a Mediterranean house with a little garden out front. The final card is a display shelf of lovely flowers.

Color Fusers Blog Hop December 2020

Hello again, it's the first Monday of the month so it's time for the next color challenge.

I played around with a few ideas and decided I liked two of the projects, so I'm sharing both today.

My first project uses the script from Very Versailles stamped with Smoky Slate and all the challenge colours randomly stamped from the Lovely You Stamp Set and then die-cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I then layered this on a larger die-cut panel using Pretty Peacock cardstock and two layers of Whisper White, one embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

I completed the card with a simple sentiment from the Lovely You Stamp Set (I absolutely love these beautiful fonts) and die-cut using the Tasteful Label Dies. I also added a few rhinestones coloured with Stampin' Blends and a strip of Snowflake Splendor RIbbon which I coloured with my Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends and, boy oh boy, it looks so fabulous - all sparkly.

For my next card, I was playing around with the Love of Leaves Stamps and decided to white heat emboss over the solid image with the script from the Very Versailles Stamp Set. I really loved the look but couldn't decide at the time how to use them, so they sat on my desk for a while.

Then, a few days later, I had an idea and here is the final result. The mat pieces are all Whisper White layered on Night of Navy, and I added some simple white die-cut leaves, more coloured rhinestones and another strip of the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon coloured with Granny Apple Green.

Thanks for dropping in and don't forget to keep hopping to see all the fabulous projects created this month:

Tissue Paper Colouring

Hello

During this week's FB Live tutorial I demonstrated the Tissue Paper Colouring technique and used the samples I made to make these very simple cards.

This technique is very messy but loads of fun experimenting with different colours.

I have uploaded the video to YouTube and you can watch it here:

Fine Art Floral Cards

Hello stampin' friends

I've been a little quiet of late - seems my mojo disappeared again for a while, so I was delighted when it returned, and I was able to create this beautiful project of 12 cards using some new products soon to be released in the Stampin' Up! 2021 January-June Mini Catalogue.

I built this card kit around two new products - the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper, with the coordinating Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate. Out of the three sheets of gold foiled acetate, two of the patterns match as an overlay to two of the sheets of DSP, adding a touch of WOW to the DSP.

I also took advantage of the marvellous Many Messages Stamps with coordinating Messages Die - the sentiments are all on one stamp to use with the coordinating die - in two steps and you have 19 sentiments stamped and die-cut and ready to be used.

If you would like to purchase the full colour PDF Tutorial with instructions for the 12 cards (Imperial measurements) for both Australia/UK and US/Canada, the cost is AUD$15.00. Please click on the Buy Now button and you will be directed to my Google Drive to download the PDF after payment is accepted.

Split Negative Technique Cards

Hi again stampin' friends

Recently I started a new Facebook Group called "Get Crafty with Gail" where I share weekly FB Live tutorials on any number of topics - some are challenges, themes or even techniques. This "interactive" group is open to anyone who would like to join.

You can join the group by clicking here

So, last week I decided the challenge would be to go through all my earlier projects and find one to recreate with new goodies. I selected three images of projects I created last year, set up a Facebook Poll so everyone could vote for the project they wanted to see and "Split Negative" technique was the winner by far. These are the cards I created and you can watch the replay here:

I hope you enjoyed the tutorial - as you can see, this technique is very easy and very effective.

Thanks for stopping by

Cheers

Gail xx

Art Gallery Floral Cards **Sneak Peek**

I love getting deliveries of new goodies to play with and yesterday I received two boxes full of soon-to-be-released Stampin' Up! January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue products and my first "sneak peek" uses two bundles - Art Gallery and Many Messages.

These two and three-step floral images from the Art Gallery Stamp Set are gorgeous when paired with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.

I have double-layered some flowers using Dimensionals, coloured the Rhinestone Jewels with Stampin' Blends and added the pretty Pool Party Sheer Ribbon to finish the look.

All the sentiments were stamped and die-cut using the Many Messages Stamp Set with coordinating Messages Die.

If you would like to purchase the full colour PDF Tutorial on how to make these cards, the cost is AUD$10.00. Please click on the Buy Now button and you will be directed to my Google Drive to download the PDF after payment is accepted.
