Today I'm sharing with you a sneak peek at the soon to be released Stampin' Up! "Power of Hope Stamp Set" and coordinating Stone 3D Embossing Folder.
The first card I created was a simple stamping card with a little colouring using the Light and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends. For the branches and flowers I used the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set which coordinated beautifully. The sun image came from the Waterfront Stamp Set. The mat die-cut behind the sentiment came from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies - my new favourite set.
The 2nd card I got a little more creative and made a Japanese lantern by stamping on Whisper White with Smoky Slate and the Birch Stamp. Then I stamped the image and coloured with blends, die-cut with a circle die and embossed with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. The background was a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock randomly stamped with the tree from the set using Golden Glitz Delicata Ink. I finished it off with a strip of Basic Black that had been embossed with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder, a little Linen Thread and mounted on the card front.
For my last card I wanted to combine all three of the main images on the one card, and changed the main coordinating colour to Real Red. I stamped the images first then die-cut each with the Stitched Rectangle dies, and added a slightly larger mat piece in Real Red. The flowers and branch were die-cut from the Seasonal Layers dies in Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Flirty Flamingo. The background piece is Crumb Cake embossed with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder and a strip of Basic Black.
This is not a stamp set that I would normally reach for but I did enjoy being creative and trying something different.
Thanks for stopping by and here is the full product list.
These cards are absolutely stunning, Gail! You have truly captured the Oriental feel of the stamp set and the new Embossing Folder pairs beautifully.ReplyDelete
