Whitewashed Magnolia Lane Cards

My ladies really enjoyed making these cards in class using the Whitewashed technique paired with the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and dies.

It's a fairly simple technique where you emboss the image first then apply layers and layers of White Craft Ink with an Aquapainter over the places where you want to later add colour, in this instance we used Lovely Lipstick with a sponge dauber to add the colour to the flowers. Here are some closeups followed by a Product List.

Thanks for stopping by 😄

These single magnolias were mounted with Dimensionals.

This card is 5 1/2" squared

Home Sweet Home Frame

Hi again and thanks for visiting my blog today.

This project is a 12" x 12" slatted timber hanging frame decorated with flowers made from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set and the coordinating punches (full list below), that I made to coordinate with the decor in my home.

Once again, the Scan n Cut came to the rescue with "home sweet home" words which were 5 layers glued together and attached to the wooden frame. All other elements were attached with a glue gun.

I kinda went crazy with the flowers, just stamping and punching all different coloured variations of Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape inkpads onto Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape cardstock, until I had a variety that I was happy with. The leaves were die-cut from the fern leaf in the Tropical Dies set. I also used Wooden Butterfly Elements and left them uncoloured. The white floral sprays are from the Frosted Bouquet dies. And lastly, the green floral centres are Clear Faceted Gems coloured with a green Stampin' Blend.

Bird Ballad Birdhouse Cards

Time to update my blog and I'm starting with these Birdhouse Cards I made a while ago.

Firstly, I had already cut out most of the images from two sheets of the Stampin' Up! Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (birds on branches and flowers) using my Scan n Cut, and they sat aside for a few weeks while I decided what to do with them. One day while cleaning up my computer I found I had a cutting file collection of birdhouses and began to work out what I could make with them. I'm so glad I bought a Scan n Cut lol

After some modifications to the cutting files, and selecting to use just one colour - Seaside Spray - and a few different embossing folders - the cards all came together nicely.

The first card is a birdhouse shaped card and looks pretty neat in real life. For the second card, I used one of the cutting files that was meant to be made into a birdhouse tag and altered it to fit on a 5 1/2" square card.

I was pretty pleased with how they turned out and the only stamping was the Birch background and the two sentiments - a nice easy project for a class.
