Global Design Project #385 | Colour Challenge

This week's Global Design Project theme challenge is a "colour challenge":

 

I found this one a little "challenging" and tried many variations of the colours and themes (the Very Vanilla was throwing me lol) and settled on a Basic White card base to break up the colours a little for a "seashell" card.

I have used three different embossing folders, stamped some shells on Very Vanilla, die-cut reeds and more shells using the three colours and I found a strip of very very old DSP in my stash to add another layer.

All the shells are attached/mounted to a large Basic White stitched circle on a strip of Natural Finish Ribbon, finished off with some scattered Faux Sea Glass Shapes.

Fancy Flora Album in a Box

Hello stampin' friends,

Today I have a lovely Album in a Box, using the Fancy Flora 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

The finished album size is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square and was designed to use 6" x 6" the sheets with little to no wastage.

The sides measure 5 1/4" x 3 1/2" and in the centre of the box sits an accordion mini album (5" x 5") with seven (7) pages to embellish and add your favourite photos and journalling. 

I have included pockets on the side flaps, lots of photo mats in all shapes and sizes and a few stamped and die-cut flowers and leaves, using Starry Sky and Petal Pink to coordinate with the DSP. Here's a quick sneak peek of the entire album:

Colour INKspiration Challenge #139 - Nothing's Better Than

 

A few weeks ago, I submitted my first entry into the Colour INKspiration challenge (link here to go to the original blog post) and was stunned to have my entry voted #1, and then asked to be invited as a Guest Designer for this challenge (CI#139). This was the winning card I submitted:

This weeks challenge colours are taken from this gorgeous graphic:

 

 

I had to think for a bit and finally decided on one of my favourite sets, that I don't use as often as I should, the fab "Nothing's Better Than stamp set" to create a colourful and happy "birthday" card. 

I stamped the cocktail glasses in Memento and coloured with the "filler" stamp using the three colours, some randomly stamped stars using all four colours, and some background circles using another set that doesn't get much ink, the Watercolor Shapes stamp set, all on a Pool Party base layer.  See below for a full product list.
